Estancia La Candelaria
La Candelaria is one of the most recognized country estates in the province of Buenos Aires, a favourite destination for those who choose mini tourism and decide to go out for the weekend. Located in Lobos town, less than 2 hours from Buenos Aires, La Candelaria is a castle. Worth visiting for its imposing architecture, which makes you feel like you are part of a movie.
This famous construction, dating back to 1840, was named in tribute to Candelaria Mármol, wife of Don Orestes Piñeiro, a pharmaceutical doctor and owner of the place.
In this Norman-style castle, you’ll find playrooms, dining rooms, libraries and incredible stained glass windows that give the ambience a sense of modernity. The house has a spectacular outdoor park, with more than 200 species of trees, designed by the distinguished landscaper Carlos Thays (who also created the Botanical Garden of the City of Buenos Aires).
In addition to accommodation at the house, visitors have the chance to enjoy a picnic with family or friends. You’ll be amused by La Candelaria folkloric dance show, a historical talk at the Castle and a cooking class to learn how to make authentic Argentine empanadas.

Estancia Villa Maria
Just 45 minutes from the City of Buenos Aires is the Estancia Villa María. This dreamy place offers all its splendour to enjoy the tranquillity of nature and also have an unforgettable picnic outdoors.
The Estancia Villa María is more than a country estate, as it is an elegant hotel located in a large rural palace in the Tudor-Norman style, built by the architect Alejandro Bustillo in 1927. Currently, this 11-room boutique hotel, surrounded by an endless green space, has 56 hectares, which include a lake and a wonderful garden, full of diverse and colourful plants. More than 350 species of trees and plants have been counted within the Estanci,a making it a perfect photograph spot.
Something relevant about the location of Estancia Villa María is that it is 30 km from Campanópolis, a picturesque mediaeval-style town, 31 km from the Santa Catalina Municipal Natural Reserve and 33 km from the International Airport in Ezeiza.
You can spend a field day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. enjoying yourself with lunch, snacks and different rural activities. Horseback riding, carriage rides and a botanical tour with an informative map of species are some of the options. If you are into sports activities, Estancia Villa María has impeccable tennis courts and an 18-hole golf course. In addition, bicycles are offered to explore the Estancia, and of course, there is a swimming pool, included in some of the picnic packages.

Estancia Pampas del Sur
The Estancia Pampa del Sur is perfect for a getaway and enjoy a day in the countryside. With 30 hectares of a lovely environment ideal for the family, this Estancia offers a beautiful space to relax and the unique chance to enjoy under the shade of a large line of trees.
Located at km 96 of Route 6, in the town of Cañuelas, is the perfect destination to spend a day outdoors surrounded by nature, as well as for mini-tourism near Buenos Aires.
The field day in Pampas del Sur runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The stay includes lunch, snacks and all the activities offered by the Estancia. You can choose to visit a mini farm and the organic garden or take a walk through the bio lake stocked with fish.
Also, the Estancia has children’s games (such as foosball, board games, pool, toad and ping pong), an area with horses and different walking paths. The bio lake is crossed by an imposing wooden bridge, which leads the way to a mill and the expanded pool that is beautiful to explore.
You can’t miss admiring the tranquillity of the space sitting on armchairs and lounge chairs or reading a book while having some mates.
For visitors who decide to stay overnight and take more time to enjoy the natural surroundings and the stunning atmosphere, Pampas del Sur has 16 rooms. This country house has a living room with a fireplace, a library, a lounge area with SmartTV, WiFi and outdoor parking.

Estancia El Ombú
The countryside, river and gaucho life environment that you feel when you arrive in San Antonio de Areco, is undoubtedly what makes this place so special and ideal to have an unforgettable picnic. El Ombú, a historic ranch that stands out for its magnificent house from 1880, has belonged to the Boelcke family since 1934.
Just 120 kilometres from Buenos Aires, you will be able to enjoy a day in the countryside from early in the morning until sunset.
The field day, which begins at 11 a.m. with empanadas and drinks, continues with horseback riding or carriage rides. Then you will enjoy lunch with Creole barbecue, guitar playing, folk dance and equestrian shows. In addition to the activities offered by El Ombú, you have free time to use the facilities of the ranch and have snacks with pastries plus a variety of homemade sweets until approximately 6 p.m. when the day ends.
At Estancia El Ombú, you can also spend a stay in one of its 12 rooms. You will be able to relax at the swimming pool area and the large outdoor spaces as well as practise sports. In addition, some other activities are horseback riding, sulky or bicycle rides and long walks. La Mimosa
Since 1869, La Mimosa has been located in the historic district of Exaltación de la Cruz, on the outskirts of Capilla del Señor town, about 70 kilometres from the City of Buenos Aires.
The old house, now converted into a ranch, preserves its origins, combining colonial style with Italian and Art Nouveau trends. In its main garden, in addition to finding varied and exotic vegetation, you can rest under 150-year-old trees and the tallest Silk Floss tree in the province of Buenos Aires.
The country day at The Mimosa starts at 11 in the morning with homemade meat empanadas and continues with barbecue for lunch. After lunch, you can enjoy a folklore dance performed by distinguished dancers and singers.
Enjoy the popular Malambo show with bolas and the Ranchera dance with recitations. At the end of this show, a ring race takes place under the trees. In the afternoon, and to end the day, you will enjoy a delicious snack with the typical drink “Mate cocido” and quince pastries.
In the farm of La Mimosa, you’ll find different animals such as turkeys, rheas, chickens, sheep, goats, horses, cows, New Guinea fowl, llamas and more than 80 peacocks.

Don Silvano Ranch
Also located in Exaltation de la Cruz, the historic estate of Don Silvano is ideal for taking a getaway and connecting with nature.

The day begins around 11 in the morning, with a tour around the ranch. Lunch with a typical country barbecue, empanadas and traditional Argentine desserts are part of the plan. Afterwards, you’ll enjoy a typical show and have the chance to ride in a carriage or a tractor.
The Don Silvano ranch house dates back to 1930 and has a main room for 60 people, where breakfast is served. In the playroom, you can amuse yourself with games such as foosball, billiard and ping-pong. In addition, there are 9 rooms with capacity for 24 guests, with private bathroom and heating, if you choose to stay for a night or a weekend.
