Ezeiza International Airport (EZE)

Ministro Pistarini International Airport, commonly known as Ezeiza, is Argentina’s main airport and the primary gateway for international flights. It is located approximately 35 kilometres southwest of the city centre and operates around the clock. It is served by the world’s leading airlines, including Aerolíneas Argentinas, American Airlines, Air France, Iberia, Lufthansa, LATAM and United, among many others. The airport has two modern terminals with duty-free shops, restaurants, currency exchange offices, ATMs and mobile phone outlets where you can purchase a local SIM card.

How to Get from Ezeiza to the City Centre

Official taxi and remise

In the arrivals area of both terminals, there are official taxi and remise desks with fixed fares by destination. Always use the authorised services inside the airport and avoid accepting offers from informal drivers outside. Cabify also operates from Ezeiza.

Private transfer

Tienda León is the most popular transfer service for arrivals in Buenos Aires. It offers minibuses and private cars with frequent departures to the city centre, stopping at major hotels. Fixed price, reliable and bookable in advance through their website.

Public transport

Bus line 8 connects Ezeiza with the city centre. It is the most affordable option, though also the slowest — particularly with luggage.

Car hire

Both terminals have car hire agencies on site, including Hertz, Avis, Budget, Europcar and Sixt.

Jorge Newbery Airport — Aeroparque (AEP)

Jorge Newbery Airport, known as Aeroparque, is Buenos Aires’ urban airport — one of the best-located in Latin America. Situated just 8 kilometres from the city centre on the northern riverfront, it offers views over the Río de la Plata. It handles domestic flights to all Argentine provinces and some regional international routes, particularly to Uruguay, Chile and Brazil. The terminal includes restaurants, shops, currency exchange offices and mobile phone outlets.

How to Get from Aeroparque to The City Centre

Official taxi and remise

The city centre is around 15 to 20 minutes by taxi or remise from Aeroparque. Authorised desks are available in the arrivals area. Cabify and other ride-hailing platforms also operate from the airport.

Public transport

Several bus lines connect Aeroparque with the city centre and main neighbourhoods. A practical and affordable option for those travelling light.

Walking or cycling

Thanks to its prime location, it is possible to walk or cycle from Aeroparque to Palermo and other northern neighbourhoods of the city.

Car hire

All major car hire agencies are also represented at Aeroparque.
