El Pobre Luis

El Pobre Luis, considered the best grill in the national ranking, offers a wide list of typical dishes. The delicious Pamplona chicken or the fillet stands out on its menu, but we can also find sweetbreads, chorizos, rib eye, candied fries, grilled salmon and other specialities.

Parrilla Rioplatense, so-called by its owner and founder Luis Acuña, opens its doors from Tuesday to Saturday nights.

Don Julio

Located in Guatemala 4691, Don Julio is one of the most acclaimed grills in Buenos Aires and is among the top ten places in the prestigious Latin America’s Fifty Best Restaurants 2021 ranking.

The grill was founded in 1999 by Pablo Rivero, who claims  “What we do is a vocation, it is not a business. (…) Staying at the restaurant all the time is more than a business demand, it is part of our way of being, of living gastronomy”.

High-quality cuts of beef from pasture-raised animals are offered on the menu. You can’t miss the favourite cuts: the famous asado and the grilled thin flank. We also recommend the rump steak, the entraña and the Argentinean artisanal cold meat.

Don Julio has an extensive wine list and vegetarian options such as grilled vegetables.

Besides, the grill offers a premium butcher shop where you can buy selected cuts and enjoy cooking them at home.

La Carnicería

La Carnicería is a superb grill founded by Germán Sitz and Pedro Peña.  Dishes made from grass-fed beef, in addition to several delicacies that are the ideal accompaniment for La Carniceria selected meat, are the distinctive features of the restaurant.

How about a 900 gr Angus steer ribeye side with squash puree and oranges? Maybe you’d go for the 20-hour smoked ribs with cauliflower and mushrooms. La Carnicería’s wide wine list includes a Malbec from Salta, a home-made wine in collaboration with the Tacuil winery.

La Carnicería has been distinguished by The North American magazine Eater, which specialises in travel and gastronomy, on its January 2022 list of the 38  “essential” restaurants in Buenos Aires. They considered the sweetbreads dipped with cane honey and accompanied by corn as a must-try speciality for all visitors.

La Cabrera

La Cabrera is already a classic in the Palermo neighbourhood. They also entered Latin America’s Fifty Best Restaurants 2021 ranking, at position 37.

Founded by chef Gastón Riveira, this grill stands out for its exquisite meats

Rufino

Rufino is located inside the Mio Buenos Aires Hotel, in the Recoleta district. On the menu, you can find cuts such as the delicious Boston butt, roasted lamb loin and the incredible eye of round milanesa.

You can also order roasted bell peppers, roasted eggplant puree, spinach fritters or a delicious 180-gram grilled provolone. Choose the classic choripán or the empanada de humita as starters. We promise You will not regret it!

Rufino also has vegetarian options. The most popular? Roasted cauliflower, crispy sweet potatoes or the delicious roasted beetroot salad.

We highly recommend their speciality: the 750-gram ribeye, a delight to share.

Somos asado

Somos Asado offers a unique experience: meat roasted in a clay oven and grilled over firewood.

You will be able to taste matured meats and special cuts from pasture-raised steers.

Chef Gustavo Portela, the founder of the restaurant, brings a proposal based on high-quality meat, seasonal vegetables, and artisan products with homemade charcuterie.

At Somos Asado, you can find traditional dishes with a personal touch. Some of the unusual options are the artisan beef cheek with soft egg , accompanied by fennel and caramelised onion.

Fogón Asado Experience

Fogón, the best grill restaurant in Buenos Aires based on Trip Advisor reviews and the most praised by diners from different parts of the world is presented as “a grill with a modern touch”.

The restaurant offers more than a grill. It takes the gastronomic experience to another level by serving typical cuts of meat in an 8-course tasting menu. What is more, you can learn about cooking techniques personally explained by the chef himself.

The menu includes caramelised grilled provolone,  pork rose meat, two cuts of meat prepared with different cooking techniques and a surprise dish, among other delicious options. The must-try:  the pork rose meat with yellow chilli sauce. In addition, for a perfect pairing, Fogón offers a wide list of wines.

Cabaña Las Lilas

Cabaña Las Lilas is a traditional grill located in Puerto Madero and one of the most awarded in Buenos Aires. It has been recognised by prestigious publications such as The Fork and Wine Spectator.

Among its most outstanding dishes, you can find the Special Roasted meat, cooked for around 16 hours at a low temperature with a final touch on the grill, accompanied by potatoes au gratin. Another highlight on Cabaña Las Lilas´ menu is the 1,300 kg T-bone steak, flambéed with cognac and served with truffled mashed potatoes and malbec-flavoured sea salt.

Other great options on the menu are the grilled salmon and octopus. You can match them with a wide range of selected wines. The wine list has more than 300 options in red wines are the stars.

Peña Grill

Here we find a traditional canteen, distinguished in the last edition of Eater magazine. Located in the San Nicolás neighbourhood, Parrilla Peña was founded in 1983 by Ricardo Martínez and Cesar Páez, former waiters of the popular Bachin grill, who got down to work with the project after the closure of their workplace.

Pasta and popular “ milanesas” are part of the extensive menu. However, Peńa specialises in meat; the classic ribeye is its standout dish. The Parrilla Peña concept: “Ours is a classic grill and we try to stand out for excellence in meats and in all ingredients as well as the  richness of abundant dishes”

The select cut is the Sirloin roast, chosen by clients as one of the best in the city. The wine list includes the most popular wineries such as Trapiche, Yacochuya, López and Norton, among others.

Corte Comedor

Eater magazine named Corte Comedor as one of the essential places to eat in Buenos Aires. The dynamic menu and the special dishes create an extraordinary restaurant experience. Check out the favourites: the ribeye, the sirloin and the top-quality homemade Argentine chorizos.

The restaurant is an expert in dry-aged meat. However, the grilled provolone is a must-try. The drink menu offers a wide selection of wines: Monteagrelo Cabernet Franc, from the Bressia winery, and the Manos Negras Red Soil, from Río Negro are some of the most exclusive in the list.

Corte Comedor is part of the butcher shop that Santiago “Gurí” Garat, who started as a disciple of the famous chef Francis Mallmann, and three partners opened in the Bajo Belgrano district.

Nuestro Secreto

Nuestro Secreto is located In a greenhouse overlooking the Four Seasons pool. The hotel’s luxurious steakhouse has also been selected in the latest Eater ranking.

If you want to enjoy a delicious unique entry try the black pudding croquettes with apple and ginger emulsion.

The menu offers the emblematic Argentine cut, the ribeye. The skirt steak and the 5-hour cooked spit roast are authentic delights.

The chef behind the grill, Patricia Ramos, explains the restaurant motto “Each one of the dishes at Nuestro Secreto has a different twist from the rest of the other grills” She adds “Currently, we are working with cultured meats, which are 100% natural grass-fed. The cuts we offer are T-bone, rib eye steak and ribeye, aged for 21 days”

Nuestro Secreto has a solid wine list with 65 labels, including drinks from less traditional wineries such as Maal Wines and Pielhiueso.
